Life Story for
Eugene Panarese of Westfield, NJ, formerly of Hillside, NJ, passed away on Saturday night at Overlook Hospital in Summit surrounded by his loved ones. He was 56 years old. Eugene was a loving husband to Rosemarie Panarese (nee Menza), of 32 years, and a devoted father to Christina Marie Panarese, Joseph Anthony Panarese, Gabriella Rose Panarese and Maria Grace Panarese. Eugene’s family was what he lived for; he loved his children deeply and was so proud of them.
Eugene was a 1979 graduate of Hillside High School and graduated from Lincoln Technical Institute in 1980. He was a Draftsman for almost 40 years. He spent most of his career working for Nicholas J. Bouras Inc. in Summit, NJ. He also worked for CANAM Steel and A.C. Associates as a Project Manager. Eugene was the owner of PANCO Drafting Services for over 23 years.
Eugene was a long-standing coach of youth baseball. He had many fond memories of the boys that he coached, and formed lasting relationships with many of them. Eugene was a great supporter of his children’s athletic endeavors, and was always on the sidelines cheering them on.
Eugene was the son of Anthony Panarese and Rose Panarese (nee Mangiacapre). Eugene is pre-deceased by his parents and his sister Angela Marie Panarese. Eugene is survived by his wife and children; his brother Anthony; his brother Louis and wife Lisa; his mother-in-law Rosemary Menza; his sister-in-law Angela Menza; his brother-in-law Anthony Menza, and many nieces, nephews, as well as many great-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Dooley Colonial Funeral Home, 556 Westfield Avenue Westfield, NJ (www.dooleycolonialfuneralhome.com) on October 24, 2017 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, October 25th, at 10am at Holy Trinity RC Church in Westfield.
