Oh my dears,
Jerome had told me you have a large family. You are indeed rich, and so were your Dad and Mom. That is a great gift to hold close among you at this time. As we read the obituary we, Cathy and I, could actually visualize Christmas', Easters, and Thanksgivings at your house when you guys were young. Thankfully we both pretty much had the same thing except I only had the one sister but Cathy had 2 brothers and 3 sisters. So we know.
Going forward, as I now also know you lost your Mom last year, just remember the good times. They are your best support when Grief snags you from behind when you're not looking. And it will. Oh yes, it will.
Time will not heal this wound but, as time passes, it won't hurt quite as much especially when you remember the good times. The good times will never go away as long as you remember them.
If tempted, don't play the "I should have or I could have" game in your head or heart. You're all good sons and daughters.
Make sure all traditions continue and remember that your Mom and Dad would have been happy to see the future get togethers. From what we've read they lived for that.
Sadness now is inevitable. We pray that it will cease to hold on to you before too much longer. It will for a while though.
Above all Peace my Good Gottlicks
Richard and Cathy Billa
