Mary L. Watkins, 86
Scotch Plains – Mary L. Watkins, 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 07, 2017 at Center for Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains. Born in Bronx NY, she then lived in Westfield and Scotch Plains since 1960.
Mary was known for her ability to make and gather friends and family to celebrate all of life’s events. She loved to travel, taking many trips in the US as well as to Europe. She loved the beach, tennis, swimming, ballet and supporting the arts. She will always be remembered for her radiant smile and frequent laughter, generosity and love for life. She is already greatly missed by her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel in 2008. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Ujcic McIntyre and husband John, Susan Ujcic and husband Jared Snyder, Karen Pepper and husband Bob, her three cherished grandchildren Jade, Kelly and Devon, her sister Helen Mady, as well as a niece, nephew, extended family, and friends who are family.
A private memorial gathering will be held at a later time. In honor of Mary, please consider a donation to Center For Hope 1900 Raritan Rd. Scotch Plains, NJ 07076. Arrangements are by the Dooley Colonial Funeral Home, Westfield.
