Obituary for Patricia Kalis

Beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend

Patricia E. Kalis (Lally), 55, of Westfield, NJ passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, January 5, 2018. The wake will be held at Dooley Colonial Home in Westfield from 3-7 on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. Church services will be held at St. Helens in Westfield at 10:30, Thursday, January 11, 2018.

Born and raised in Westfield, Trish was married to her high school sweetheart, Charles P. Kalis, for 33 years. Her four children, Chad, Christopher, Kelly, and Carly Kalis were the center of her world and will miss her dearly. Trish was the oldest girl, and fourth of her seven siblings. In addition to her husband and children, she is survived by her mother, Elizabeth, her six siblings Vincent, Thomas, John, Elizabeth, James, and Maria, and nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends who are too numerous to list, but will all feel her absence deeply.

Trish was a devoted mother, whose greatest joy in life was her family. Her home has always been a place where friends and family can gather, to celebrate, to mourn, to feel welcomed and loved, and to just generally have a really great time. She enjoyed frequent trips to her home away from home in Islamorada, FL and could always appreciate a good time with friends and family in the sun. Trish was central to her family and social circles and will be lovingly remembered.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Help Hands & Hearts of St. Helen’s Church, Westfield.
