Obituary for Dominic John Perruso

Dominic John Perruso Jr, 77, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 28, 2019 surrounded by his family.
Born in Orange, New Jersey on May 4, 1941 to Dominic and Mildred (Pizzi) Perruso. Dominic graduated from Orange High School 1959 where he was nominated best dressed in his senior year and was a member of the OHS Marching Band & Trumpet Soloist. Following graduation he enlisted in the 78th Division of the Army Reserves where he was a member of the Army Reserve Marching Band.

In his early days, Dominic attended the Franklin Beauty School where he then became the master stylist at Saks 5th Avenue, Jalms and Salon owner of Studio 4 in Millburn, NJ. Dominic worked for over 40 years as a sales representative selling cars for Ford Motor Company at several dealerships until he settled at Ford of Englewood. During his 40 years selling cars he consistently achieved monthly top salesman awards that placed him among the top 50 Ford auto salesman within the tri-state area. Dominic was an avid music lover who idolized Harry James and shared a birthday with his favorite jazz musician Maynard Ferguson. His passion for performing live music & entertainment led him to create his own musical production company where he was leader, entertainer and solo trumpet player for The Dom Perry Orchestra. He was also a distinguished member in the horn section of the Garden State Marching Bands.

He is survived by his wife Anne (Alibrandi) Perruso, his 4 children, Kevin & Lisa Perruso, Robin & Joseph Tobia, Dominic & Noemi Perruso, Perri & Vincent Urso. Grandchildren, Chelsea, Charlie, Dominique and Josephina, Sisters Marie Capone and Joanne Carolanza. Step Children Lisa Schuermann, Douglas Hill and Step grandchildren Ronnie, Jaime and Amber. As well as 31 first cousins, 12 nieces & nephews and 24 great nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Dominic & Mildred Perruso, brothers Anthony Perruso and twin brother Michael Perruso.
